Challenges and Solutions for Biogas Production from Agriculture Waste in the Aral Sea Basin

چکیده

Energy plays an essential role in the modern society and can serve as one of vital parameters socio-economic development. Despite developments technology, over three billion persons living rural parts low- middle-income countries continue to cover their energy needs for cooking through traditional ways by burning biomass resources. This paper a case study focuses on Aral Sea region Uzbekistan, possessing well-developed agricultural production with high livestock numbers intensive crop production. The manure farms is not used efficiently supply depends primarily centrally produced gas electricity. Some areas are yet connected grid. Agriculture causes huge environmental damages its current form. benefit biogas would therefore be fivefold: (1) local source, (2) mitigation impacts, (3) reducing CH4-emissions, (4) producing organic fertilizer side product (5) additional earnings farmers.

Aral Sea basin: a sea dies, a sea also rises.

The thesis of this article is quite different from many other theses of papers, books, and articles on the Aral Sea. It is meant to purposely highlight the reality of the situation in Central Asia: the Aral Sea that was once a thriving body of water is no more. That sea is dead. What does exist in its place are the Aral seas: there are in essence three bodies of water, one of which is being pur...

Production of Biogas from Poultry Waste

It is inevitable that with large volume and high density poultry productions, there will be large quantities of poultry waste produced in Kathmandu and throughout Nepal. Poultry waste produced as the daily feeding of chicken both from broilers and layers in the country is largely used as organic manure for agricultural purposes. The poultry industry is growing day by day concentrated within the...

Cropping Intensity in the Aral Sea Basin and Its Dependency from the Runoff Formation 2000-2012

This study is aimed at a better understanding of how upstream runoff formation affected the cropping intensity (CI: number of harvests) in the Aral Sea Basin (ASB) between 2000 and 2012. MODIS 250 m NDVI time series and knowledge-based pixel masking that included settlement layers and topography features enabled to map the irrigated cropland extent (iCE). Random forest models supported the clas...
